If you don't washi, you should. I ordered some washi tape from my friends over at Wishy Washi Tape
and I have used it mostly for journal pages, tags and postcards. Last night I was trying to make some really cute envelopes to put my postcards in for the postcard swap over at Inspiration Avenue. The envelopes involved waxed paper and sewing. Not a good combination, at least for me and my machine.
I threw away most of what I made because my machine kept chewing up the paper. I started to resort to glue and then I spotted the washi tape on my shelf. It was a marriage made in heaven and the rest is history.

The amazing thing is that I made these without cutting anything. Once you decide on the size you want. You just tear and fold. Tear pieces of washi tape and tape all edges inside and out. Tear short strips to add more definition and design. Then I went back and layered small
pieces overlapping lighter colors of tape which made a water color like effect.
I only had these colors, but my mind went crazy thinking of all the different looks and combinations you could make with all the selections of colors and designs in washi tape.
Of course these aren't sturdy to mail alone, but they are fabulous for putting something in
that you need a clear sealer for..... I have you thinking, don't I?
WASHI TAPE .. GET SOME!
Easy peasy and as my friends at LilaXO and LilaO would say... very "IM-ish".
