FOUL PLAY

AFTER HETTIENNE DISCOVERED COLOR, SHE KNEW SHE COULD NEVER GO BACK TO BEING BLACK AND WHITE ~*

No, Hettienne is not a Guinea. I just used her name because she is the host of this week's challenge at Inspiration Avenue.  Hettienne challenged us with the theme of "chickens and roosters".

I am a city girl and I have only visited a couple farms in my life and you could smell the chickens a mile away. (Hence, the FOUL PLAY ART DAY )
However, after reading Hettienne's fascinating post about them,  I have a new found respect for chickens and roosters. They are beautiful birds and they are the subject of beautiful and interesting art by many artists.

"JENN WANTED TO BE PART OF THE FOUL PLAY ART DAY, SO SHE BEGAN GETTING TO KNOW THE CHICKENS BETTER BY HAVING HER MORNING COFFEE IN THE HEN HOUSE...."

The drawing is also my entry for Jenn's  Artist Playroom #13 . Jenn's  challenge this week was to do a drawing or sketch of whatever we wanted.  I haven't quite mastered drawing and sketching, but Jenn has certainly inspired me to try my hand at it.

Check out all the"Birds of a Feather" at Inspiration Avenue and you are sure to find our something you didn't know about chickens and roosters and find some
inspiration on these beautiful birds.

Visit Jenn's Artist Playroom for some amazing inspirational drawings and sketches.

Thank you for stopping by... if you don't find me home,  you might find me at an
Artist's Play Day,  but it won't be in the Hen House!

XO

  6. I love both your chicken images. The polka dotted hen is fabulous and I couldn't agree more with the "foul play" idea about the perfume of the chicken ranch. Once again you've wowed me with your wonderful sense of humor.

  9. We live in the suburbs but most of the houses in our street seem to have chickens... but the fun starts when they escape and all congregate on the street and chatter together... it is simply hilarious watching all the owners round them up and sort of who owns which one... and they all seem to escape at one time, so I kind of think they plan it... it appeals to me thinking of word getting out.... Next Tuesday in front of number 32, heaps of worms there.... anyway off track and none of them are as pretty as your gorgeous number... she would be the leader of the pack over here let me tell you...xx
