NEW YEAR.... NEW JOURNALS

I am not  a person who begins the year with New Year's Resolutions, however, I did promise myself to begin this year with new art journals. I am hoping that having art journals already prepared and ready to go will give me the incentive I need to slow down and spend some much needed time for myself, for no other purpose than down loading my mind and spending quiet peaceful, calming moments reflecting on my day or week. Writing and art is very important to me and documenting all those thoughts that I intake each day and visualize is very rewarding and necessary. It's like inhaling and exhaling, a necessity of life.

This past year went much too fast and I don't want to miss a thing in the way that I see it. I didn't spend near enough time taking it all in and not giving myself the time to creatively express all that I did take in can be an exhausting experience. Some people go to the spa, I journal. It feels my soul.

Here a a few of the journals that I have ready to go and I look forward to grabbing my cup of Dandy Blend and spending some blissful time in the studio with a sign on the door  that reads ... "do not disturb, I'm unplugged".

Don't forget to save some time for YOU and unplug!
Happy New Year!
Kim

  3. Beautiful journals Kim! They are so full of colourful inspiration. I love the way you talk about journaling instead of going to a spa. We should open up art spas that feed people's souls....I could run the Uk branch with Lisa & Angie and you US ladies could run the American branch. I would love that, not least because we'd have to visit each other as part of our business :-)! I also like the phrase "unplugged"...I'll adopt that aim & phrase if you don't mind!? I've had a positive creative start to the year too (blogged about it if you fancy a look). Enjoy your journaling my friend. Hugs xx
