WHAT'S ON YOUR WORK DESK WEDNESDAY!

It's time again. I have missed a few Wednesday's life, work, vacation and now I am happy to get back to my insane schedule. I am currently working a two decks of cards for The International Card Deck Swap Group with Jessica Brogan on Face Book.

This is the second time I have participated and looking forward to it once again. You complete one deck of cards anyway you like and add quotes to them, along with any images, stamping or other ways you want to decorate your cards.

They can all the same if you like since they are all going to different people. Jessica will sort all the cards and send you back a deck with 52 different cards made by a variety of artists from around the globe. I decided to do an additional deck for myself and I am doing each card differently. This is what I have done so far and have layers and images to go. I will be very busy this weekend completing this deck to have it ready to mail off next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Check out the Stamping Ground over at Julia's to see what other crafty people have on their desk today!

Thanks for stopping in today and Happy Creating!

  1. holy cow, that's ambitious. 104 cards, they're looking beautiful and it's a great idea to do yourself a set otherwise it would be hard to just give them away! Good luck, hopefully you'll get something fabulous back! (I've always been unlucky with mail art trading,)

    1. Hi Jennifer, I am loving making these cards. I am person who really does not like repetition so it has been a true joy for me in making them to do them all differently. I am making myself a set just because I really love them and it will be awhile before I get time to make some more of them. I remember the first time I participated in the Jessica's Deck Swap, my cards were not near as detailed or as showed the experience that I have now, but I loved creating them and I was so thrilled and grateful to get some of the most inspiring cards back in return. Those artists inspired me to learn new techniques. Not to mention, you meet the sweetest souls along the way!
So nice to see you here! I think of you so often!!!!!

    1. YAY Michelle, I think I saw that you joined? There are two swaps going because she had so many people. If we are not in the same swap, send me a PM on FB and we can do our own swap of a card if you like! Mine are due next week to Jessica (I am finishing them all this weekend). There is another August deadline for the second swap.
I will post all my cards here when I have finished and sent them on to Jessica if you want to come back and peek next week!

  7. I love that you enjoy your insanely busy life, and I think it's reflected in the riot of colour you've used on the cards. And the card swap is such a great idea, but yikes, good luck with getting them done so soon!

  8. That's an interesting challenge! As a non paper crafter, I'd like to ask if it's tricky to get the inks etc to adhere to the shiny card surface? Love the bright colours, they look great!
