I PAINT FLOWERS ......

Mexican Artist Frida Kahlo is remembered for her self-portraits, pain and passion, and bold bright colors.
She is celebrated in Mexico for her attention to Mexican and indigenous culture and by feminists for her depiction of the female experience and form.

It was a great day to finish some projects in my studio today, a slow nice rain. I loved working on all the little details and bright colors.

This Shrine is painted on wood and measures:
20 1/2 inches tall
15" wide
1/2" deep
hooks on back, ready to hang

This is an original mixed meda art painting, (not a print), consisting of acrylic paint, collage, paper, book covers, jewelry findings, beads, and Mexican milagros and lots of tiny detail painting that represents the artists love for color and flowers. Both of which are my favorites as well.

I hope you take the time to do something you love this week.
Happy Creating!
